I am a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of California, San Diego. I also work in the University's Center for Teaching Development (CTD), running workshops and consulting individually with faculty and TAs on teaching-related matters.

I have a PhD in Computer Science in the area of High-Performance Computing (HPC), specifically market-based scheduling algorithms. My adviser was Allan Snavely of the San Diego Supercomputer Center. 

My current research projects are in the area of Computer Science Education, with an emphasis on the use of Peer Instruction pedagogy in lecture.
